Maggie Duret, LPCC
Hi there! I’m Maggie.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) specialized in treating OCD and anxiety disorders.
I often help my clients address those anxious, circular "What if?" questions that float into the mind and just won't seem to get out! I have specific interest in when OCD and anxiety disorders co-occur with trauma, religious/moral/spiritual scrupulosity, relationship concerns, or life transitions. My clients are often interested in examining existential questions and finding more ease in embracing the uncertainties of life. I believe in a compassionate approach to helping others lean into discomfort and re-discover that they can, indeed, trust themselves.
I offer individualized, evidence-based treatment, using modalities including Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), Inference Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). I incorporate DBT skills, family of origin work, narrative techniques, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing when appropriate.
I have found the most rewarding and effective therapeutic relationship is one between two individuals in the process of growth together. I am passionate about working with people who identify as a variety of sexual orientations, gender identities, races, and religions. My goal is to create and hold an affirming, supportive space for all of those in my care.
I offer both in-person sessions in Saint Paul and virtual sessions throughout the state of Minnesota. I do not directly accept insurance payment, but I can provide folks with superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
